What a first visit looks like

A questionnaire does not stand in for a conversation. The first appointment is long enough to understand the history, not just the symptom.

  1. A 60-minute evaluation

Psychiatric history, medical background, family history, and current circumstances, with time to talk.

  2. A plan you understand

Psychotherapy, medication, or both. When medication is part of the plan, the lowest dose that works.

  3. Follow-ups of 30 to 45 minutes

Longer when psychotherapy is included. With a signed release, Dr. Sharpe coordinates with your primary care provider or therapist.
